ICCF NAPZ (North America Pacific Zone) Individual Promotion Tournament - Higher Class

Description

The Higher Class tournament is the middle level of ICCF Promotion tournaments.  These are regularly started tournament sections where entries are continuously accepted.  Higher Class tournaments are offered via web-server playing only.  Time control is 40 days/10 moves.  The Higher Class tournament falls under the responsibility of the Non-Title Tournaments Commissioner. If you win your section, you are eligible for entry into the next section (Master Class).   NAPZ tournaments are reserved to NAPZ players only.

The North America Pacific Zone consists of the following member federations:  Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and the United States of America.

Entry into this tournament may be made via Direct Entry or your National Federation.

Size - Open Class sections typically consist of 7 players

Rating - Games played in this tournament are rated for the ICCF rating list.

Qualifications

Entry into a Higher Class tournament is offered to:

  1. a player rated 1900 to 2099 at the time of application.
  2. a player who has won an Open class tournament is entitled to one start in the Higher Class, regardless of rating.
  3. a player without an ICCF rating who is nominated by the National Federation and accompanied by a statement of qualification.

  1. Your eligibility to enter via Direct Entry will depend on your country's DE program selection.
  2. Your eligibility will be verified with the following information:
    1. Present ICCF status or new to ICCF
    2. Country affiliation
    3. Meet qualification and restriction criteria
    4. Ability to pay through PayPal
