How to Handle Disputes and Appeals
Principle
The system allows players to raise queries and disputes with the TD (via the TC for team events), and to appeal against TD decisions to the AC.
Practice
Players may select Email TD (or Email TC) to raise queries or to record a dispute with an opponent.
The TD has access to data recorded by the system during the course of games.
The TD is able to edit player and/or event data to correct any inaccuracies.
The TD is able to penalise players by adjusting clock times as necessary.
The TD must inform players of decisions and/or actions by email within a reasonable time.Players may select Email AC to appeal against decisions made by a TD.
The AC should be able to inspect all information gathered by the TD and players.
The AC must make a ruling on the appeal and decide further actions necessary.
The AC must inform players of decisions and/or actions by email within a reasonable time. The TD or AC may choose to stop a game while an appeal is being processed.
Select Event List/Event/Game to locate the game, then TD menu.
Select Stop Game to pause play.
Once the appeal is finished, select Restart Game from the TD menu to resume play.
