How to Edit an Event
Principle
The system enables the administrator to modify event details after the event has been created.
Practice
Select Event List/Event/Allocate Players/Edit Event (if the event has not yet started) or:
Event List/Event/Control/Edit Event (if the event has started)Choose which section of the event you wish to edit by clicking on:
- Name, Header, Event sponsor
- Size
- Dates
- TD
- RulesThe WTD may create and/or assign a new header to the event. The WTD may also change the TO for the event.
The TO may assign a new header to the event.
The Transmission method cannot be changed. The WTD is able to change this field between email and postal, but only to correct data entry errors and not to switch the event between transmission methods.
The TD/TO can no longer edit the provisional rating after the start of the event, only the Rating Commissioner (RC) is allowed to make this change.
The RC can edit the start and/or provisional rating of a player, by clicking on the rating on the cross-table. He then gets the "Edit Event ratings" screen. If the RC changes the start rating of an International Title tournament, the category is recalculated and sent as a proposal to the Qualifications Commissioner (QC).
The QC may edit the tournament category.
Edit or re-select options as previously (refer How to Create an Event), and click Ok to commit changes or Cancel to restart.
You are returned to your point of entry.
Webserver Actions
After you have edited an event, the system will save the event record using the event name and TD (ICCF-id) as look-up keys. You may edit the event any number of times. Refer also How to Allocate Players to an Event and How to Start an Event.
