How to Update Your Personal Settings
Principle
Players may change their personal details and system preferences at any time.
They are not permitted to change ICCF data such as player number (=id), or rating.
Practice
Select Personal Settings from the main menu, and you may edit your contact details, which include:
- email address
- password
- home address
- date of birth
- checkboxes for Use drag and drop to enter moves, Disable notifications for opponent's moves and Disable notifications for your own moves.- Select Events from the Player Details menu, select an event from the list that appears, and you may edit your event preferences which include:
- email notifications on/off (do you receive an email every time your opponents make moves in this event?)
- your leave dates (you may change future dates but not historical dates)- Select Tables and Results from the main menu, select an event, and you may edit your event preferences which include:
- email notifications on/off (do you receive an email every time your opponents make moves in this event?)
- your leave dates (you may change future dates but not historical dates)- Select Games List from the main menu, select a game, (refer How to Reference Your Games), and you may edit further preferences which include:
- email notifications on/off (as above, using the drop-down Email menu, and applies to the one in the event, and not to all games in this event)
- messages on/off (use the Disable Messages checkbox if you do not wish to communicate with this opponent)
- your leave dates (you may change future dates but not historical dates using the drop-down Event menu)
- board and piece sizes (select from the drop-down list of sizes in the Board menu)
- board co-ordinates (select on/off from the drop-down Board menu)
- drag-and-drop movement of pieces (select on/off from the drop-down Board menu)
Webserver Actions
The system updates the player list, event options and/or game options depending on your selection.
