How to Gain Titles and Norms

Principle

The system fully supports the acquisition of ICCF norms and titles through playing performance.

Practice

1. Refer to  How to Enter an Event.

   Players are eligible to enter title events usually on the basis of qualifying from preliminary events, and/or their ratings.
   The system calculates norm categories as title event tables are built from allocated players.
   The system recalculates norm categories if the composition of an event changes.

2. Refer to  How to Check Event Cross-Tables.

   Players can track their progress towards norm scores as the event progresses to its conclusion.
   If IM or SIM norms are obtained, the TD, QC and relevant NDs are automatically emailed (not implemented yet).
   If GM norms are obtained, the TTC is emailed in addition to the other officials (not implemented yet).
