European Individual Postal Championship – Semi-Finals

 

Description
The Semi-Final tournament is the 2nd level of European Postal Championship. These are regularly started tournament sections where entries are continuously accepted. Semi-Final tournaments are offered via postal  playing methods. The Semi-Final tournament falls under the responsibility of the Non-Title Tournaments Commissioner. The 1st & 2nd placed players in the Semi-Finals are entitled to start in the Final.
European tournaments are reserved to players living in Europe.

Entry
Entry into this tournament may be made via your National Federation or, where eligible, via the ICCF Direct Entry system.
 
Size - Semi-Final sections typically consist of 6 players, double-round robin.
 
Rating - Games played in this tournament are rated for the ICCF rating list.
 
Qualifications
(a) a player rated 2100 or over at the time of application.
(b) a player who has won a European Postal Championship Open Round is entitled to only one start in the Semi-Finals, regardless of rating.
(c) a player without an ICCF rating who is nominated by the National Federation and accompanied by a statement of qualification confirming the player is considered to be of sufficient strength to enter directly into the Semi-Finals.
(d) winners of European Postal Higher Class sections which started between 1st January 2010 and 31st December 2013.
